About SAHR

The Society for South Asian Heart Research (SAHR) is committed to promoting, collaborating, and communicating basic, translational, clinical, and population-based cardiovascular research among South Asian researchers and the wider public. The SAHR also aims to create awareness and offer potential solutions relevant to the cardiovascular health of the SA community. The society will focus on (i) conducting periodic seminars and annual meetings by featuring both traditional and emerging areas of research excellence, (ii) communicating relevant events, opportunities, and accomplishments to the SAHR and larger community; (iii) mentoring researchers at various career stages; (iv) developing cooperative and synergistic relationships with other like-minded groups; and (v) improve the national and international reputation of the SAHR.
