The Society for South Asian Heart Research is excited to collaborate and partner with Red Saree and Heart Health for South Asians (HHSA) to promote community outreach and spread information about heart health to our South Asian community! This initiative’s mission is to help decrease the burden of cardiometabolic diseases among South Asians by raising awareness about the diseases as well as their causes, promoting culturally sensitive heart-healthy lifestyle habits, and providing an educational foundation that empowers people to have conversations about preventative strategies/treatments with their health care providers.

HHSA members setting up a booth at North South Foundation Finals Event and encouraging community members to get their blood pressure checked for free and talk about ways to stay heart healthy.

Truly an honor speaking on World Heart Day. HHSA members had the opportunity to speak on the role that chronic stress plays on heart disease risk in the Indian community.
